The "same boat horn" sketch for my sculpture to be built and installed on the Halifax waterfront during Nocturne, October 201o. This large box fog horn will allow the public to call out over the ocean waves a message of warning, recue and love.

Nocturne 2010 Proposal

This is the sketch for my 4'x4'x2'x6' high Sea
Level Warning Horn. It is people powered with a large bellows and a horn mechanism and to be a temporary installation on the Halifax Waterfront boardwalk as an instrument of warning and hope. This piece asks the question: what are the effects of Global warming on sea levels and what can we do about it? When Halifax experiences sea level rise, then we become global partners with 600 million other coastal inhabitants who feel the same, and some places more dramatic changes.
