Broad appeal

Broad Appeal, artist Kyle Jackson’s latest painting exhibition, opens at Gallery 2053 Gottingen Street from June 2 to June 18. Jackson presents a new collection of strong and beautiful women with local landscapes acting as an anchor for the seductive subjects.

Always the creative engineer, Kyle Jackson continues to exhibit his talent at creating an engaging and enchanting dialogue between the viewer and the art. With his own unique style, developed over 25 years, Kyle has created a collection that is both a nod to classical maritime art traditions and contemporary pop art.

Opening Reception June 2, 7-10 pm at Gallery 2053, corner of Gottingen and Portland, Halifax.

Terence Bay Big Fish project

Terence Bay Big Fish project

After a fun filled week with the 45 students and staff at Terence bay elementary school, we finished building this 12x3ft big fish covered in individually painted scales. This sculpture is a new school mascot and protects as it reflects the surrounding areas history and abundance of great artists.

This is after day two of a week long big fish project. Tommorow we are visited by 50 students from a neighboring school and will try to finish 420 shingles, while we finish building the frame while we attempt to create something never been done before in the history of civilization, build a big fat wooden fish.

Terence bay Big Fish project

This is creative engineering at it's best. With the generous support of Arts Smarts, myself and the students at Terence bay school will be building a 12 ft x 3ft wooden fish that will celebrate the colorful community and history of this small hamlet by the sea..

Halifax Oval

A small study of the wonderful Halifax skating oval that is packed on a bright sunny day. The oval orbit reminds me of a celestial orbit revolving around with energy and gravity and grace.
