Nocturne on the streets of Halifax

Five Paintings done at night in Halifax during the Nocturne arts Festival. The paintings are 12"x24" and represent a cold evening painting in the dark on the street. I challenged myself to make six paintings in six hours and this is the result. I have sold one but the remaining 5 are still available for sale.

One night, instead of painting in a warm dry studio, I decided to bring my easel outside into the night and paint 6 paintings in six hours. This is the third one looking down Barrington st.

Painted before the 2009 summer folk art festival in Lunenburg. Made in a hurry and therefore splashes around in a fun way. Now lives on a wall on the south shore.
